Love and Marriage— Witty and comical

β€œHappy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry.”

πŸ™‚

LOVE AND MARRIAGE by BILL COSBY – Its hilarious!Β  πŸ˜‰ There have been many books on ‘LOVE ‘and ‘MARRIAGE’ individually catering to these two most talked about and controversial events of life but this one gives you a feel of both. Stories related to women having the upper hand in marriage and the guy being just the yes man have always been reiterated, but the anecdotes in here by the author of his marriage are interesting and never fail to gift one with the smiles and chuckles πŸ™‚

This one really proves that girls make the guys go weak in the knees and they can go to any end to find a soulmate.I am sure the guys would say ‘see we always say that’ but hold on der,the guys also never forget to have an endless list of 10 -15 crushes and ‘more than friends’ list. Changed GF remains a constant with them πŸ˜‰

Earlier, I say LOVE and MARRIAGE are controversial because they may not be wonderful for everyone. Love is beautiful but equally demanding andΒ  never fails to bring along pangs of pain. On the brighter side Love that culminates into a Marriage is the most wonderful blessing of the God (society these days).

Bill keeps on falling for girls day and night until he meets his wife Camille. But the list of
girls keeps him steady all the way in his teens and its really funny to read about his desires and feelings. He finds every other girl cute and sweet andΒ  is ready to do anything for them. Doesn’t mind being called a thief either when he steals his mother’s pin for one of his teen dream girl. Its all about growing up and guys would relate to it perfectly.

Bill meets Camille, he finally takes no time to conclude that she is his soul mate. The second half of the book deals with his married phase. He compares his 25 years (much later years) of happily married life to the nuptial years (early married days). How one is ready to do and accept just anything about your spouse in the first year of marriage and later on they seem crazy, irritating and maddening habits of the other partner. But this is how marriages have lasted for long because Husbands and Wives can never change. Each couple have their fights and making up and in between the funny reading, You will realize that the writer conveys it well that love can never disappear from a true Marriage bond.

Wives can never let go their teaching habits and speaking for their hubbies and husbands can never learn to put their shoes in the right places and will keep forgetting the keys of the house and car N number of times. This is Love and Marriage. I loved the writer’s style of writing and page after page he was wittier and wittier πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

Happy Reading!!!

    a) First part of the book – to compare and enjoy the growing years of my life with life depicted by author(I assume i will enjoy this part the most )
    b) Second part – to learn few lessons( Do’s and Don’ts) of a married life since I still have to undergo those experience to form my own philosophical view about married life πŸ™‚
