Rainy Days

Just a few thoughts post I read the book

Rainy Days By Samarth Prakash

Three things in the book that I could associate with really-really well are Change, Chase and Rainy Days

Change…

Things around us change with time,

People change and so do we,

In fact, Life changes with time.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Chase…

Life is a chase and there are actually so many things in life that we chase each day.

In fact I would say each one of us has a chase in mind that keeps him or her going.

Chase it and you reach it….

Rainy Days

Be it in the form of drizzle or pouring, Rainy days are always welcome. More than giving a relief to the quenching Mother Earth, they make our heart go dance. There is something about the rains that makes us all happy. I am sure we all have special memories attached to some or the other season of the rainy days.

BOOK REVIEW:

The story takes us in the past and then the present. Its the story of our protagonist Raghav who falls in love with a beautiful girl, Megha. It is a sweet and simple love story honestly narrated by Raghav. Our boy meets a girl and then chases her to find out more about her. Finally the relationship moves forward, they become friends and eventually lovers.

Love has no restrictions…. Love has no obligations….. Love has no manipulations….

At the same time, Raghav has a career to look forward to. He along with his friends is the co-founder of RS3, a website launched with the aim to voice the truth of the public and give them a platform in the world of corruption and scandals. The friends work day and night to scale heights and make a place for themselves. They choose not to compromise with their values and righteousness.

Raghav is happy with his work and in the company of Megha managing time between the two loves of his life.  Suddenly, life takes a turn and leaves him with not many choices. There comes the time when life throws surprises for him. He gains in one way but loses out on the other. There’s a condition of five years and he has to live a life with hopes and dreams that everything would be perfect some day.

When the awaited year and time arrives, there comes another twist. How could life be so cruel? In fact the later half has much more to offer.  A charge of murder, acquittal, compromise with one’s values and finally the refusal of love. As rightly mentioned in the book, there are many times in life when we have to make difficult choices in life and there are many chases to be taken in life, not one.

The book makes a breezy read. There were many instances in the book which would make you ponder about the realities of life. Its bitter so many times and leaves us with no choices. I was a little disappointed with the character of Megha and was not able to conclude what kind of person she was. The story starts at a sweet and mild pace but later gets complicated and for most of it all the credit goes to dear Megha.

The author has written well and will be looked forward for more. Its nothing out of the world but then a good story written from one’s heart definitely has the charm to attract readers.

🙂 🙂

Happy Reading!!!
