Write a small AEROGRAMME, Win a Book!!!

HOPE YOU HAVE FRESH AIR AROUND? Β  Β Β

‘A house without books is like a room without windows’

I read it in childhood and the words have stayed with me forever.Worried I had asked my Dad, how do people get fresh air in there? He had simply said, take books to them, they will have a life.Moving forward in the same lines, lets read books and inspire others to read more and more.

WRITE SPECIAL TO READ MORE…
Let me fill you with the good news now. To support my cause of spreading the ‘Reading Virus’, my new friends from one of the best publishing houses-RANDOM HOUSE have pitched in. I have lovingly named the event as ‘WRITE TO READ’ contest. We will discuss a ‘GREAT BOOK’ in here. We give you a relative topic to pour your heart about it and then the WINNER gets to own and read the special BOOK. Isn’t it cool? Β πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We will work together to pull in more people to read more, learn more, notice the world around them and be all the more good. I am all set, Are you?

CONTEST :
The very first one is right here.

In the world where we have become slaves to electronic media and technology, written letters have lost their existence. How many of you miss those scribbled notes or sentences on the piece of thin or hard paper, that carried stamps and most importantly reached us via our Postman Uncle. I miss them definitely. Do you ever wish to sit down and write a letter or a postcard or an Aerogramme? If yes I have something to offer.

Contest Topic- What does an Aerogramme mean to you and what would you love to write it in there? Pour your heart!!

The contest is inspired by the new book Aerogrammes: and Other StoriesΒ by Tania James. (anΒ acclaimed author)

About the Book-The first-hand reviews say that the stories are extraordinary. The beautiful book has to offer an exhaustive range of emotions. One feels arrested in the plethora of love, loss, struggle, yearn, inadequacy and much more.Β The variance in the stories is crafted well by raw and tender moments with deep emphasis on human connections. Read more here.

Pendown & Random House Publishers India will love to giveaway this book to the winning answer. Time to participate in the contest!!

Don’t miss out on thisΒ bravura collection of missives.

Happy Reading!!!

The contest closes on 25th November’12.

  1. topic seems quite interesting……..well for few seconds i realised that letter writing is an amazing art…….not just writing for somebody….rather receiving various gestures written on a piece of paper direct from heart coming from far of……..i used to do it………….yehhhh it feels awesum……thanks for insisting me to go through it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. lovely idea…..scribbling down wid something wid pen is just like reflecting directly from heart……antediluvian thought….:)

  3. writing has always been the best way to express your heart.. undisturbed, uninfluenced.. and pouring your heart out for someone. still have all my letters i have received since my childhood, must be in thousands. n i still turn those pages n they take me back to same era.. well, SMSs got deleted, e-mails never re-opened, but the fragrance of those letters still linger.

  4. I am almost tempted to write that aerogramme but it is best if this beautiful book goes to someone who hasn’t read it!

  5. That is a great contest. I love writing letters though nowadays most people don’t receive them unless they are registered or speed-posted. Believe me, I know from bitter experience. Thanks for visiting my blog πŸ™‚

  6. I recently wrote postcards on my blog and I immensely enjoyed the process. Aerogram was the
