'Journey to Zen Life begins' says ASUS at the India Launch

Asus, Zenphones, Mobile Launch, Pragati maidan

Finance Minister presented his budget on 10th July however, Asus gave us a reason to smile a day before, i.e. on 9th July when it launched its performance driven and pocket friendly Zen phones for the Indian consumers.

Asus Indiblogger Meet

In search of the Incredible…

Yet again, it was an Indiblogger Meet, the get-togethers where we bloggers meet, greet and rejoice.  This time the sponsors/organizers were Asus and the theme was the much awaited India launch of ZenFone Series and Fonepad 7.  In the first half it was the press release and post lunch it was an exclusive bloggers meet.  The  CEO, Product Manager, Design Manager, Vice President of Asustek Computer- better known as Asus along with the Intel  Sales people were available for the D day.  They all rocked with enthusiasm. It was a big day for them, unveiling a new smartphone series before the great Indian market.

Asus India Launch at Pragati Maidan

I clicked the above picture at the entrance, outside the Halls 7D, 7E at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi where the event was planned.  The tagline ‘journey to Zen life’ looked appealing.  And the gate too was impressive. (below picture)

The event flagged off with a scintillating acrobatic dance performance. And soon the ASUS CEO Jerry Shen was on the stage, enthusiastically talking about the design concept, technology, interface and his Zenphones.  He was clear on the aspect that Asus was here to give an incredible experience to it users as everyone today had a mobile lifestyle.  He said that the company had started creating the smart phone with the very aim that they had to design a beautiful, sleek, attractive, technology driven phone which everyone could easily flaunt and have fun with.

Mr Jerry quoted that ‘ Why do beautiful phones had to be expensive? And that they had worked hard on their phone to touch upon Customer Happiness 2.0: Beauty, Sound, Touch, Heart, and Ubiquity and were providing it all at affordable prices.

While Mr. Jerry talked about the design thinking, ASUS vision with respect to the new digital era, the Corporate Vice President Eric Chen introduced other distinguishable aspects of the phone.

The Zenphone’s key take away comes to be Pixel master Camera, CPU/CGU capability, Connection Design and Quality,

Debjani Ghosh, Vice President Sales and Marketing Group, Managing Director, South Asia, Intel was excited too.  She said that the Internet penetration was deepening and a good phone with great features was everyone’s demand. The mobile phones and phablets were going to rule the market in the coming times as everyone wanted a beautiful, compact phone with Internet on the go.  I was impressed with her  short and assertive talk.

Price Release Moment of Asus Zenphone 4, 5, 6 with brand ambassador Arjun Kapoor
ZENPHONE 6 is priced 16,999 INR

The brand ambassador, bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor was invited over for the launch of the phone. The prices which had been kept under wraps for long were revealed. No doubt it came out to be good bargain for the promised features. It suggested that the prices have been proposed quite thoughtfully.

Later, in the other room, I quite enjoyed exploring the phone features. The camera is definitely impressive and has a new feature called Selfie Mode. Asus people loved talking about the Pixelmaster and the dark room pictures without the flash.  The new user interface from ASUS: ZenUI looked promising with distinct icons.  The phone has capabilities close to top end smart phones but at easy prices.  I would say it a phone whose makers have worked both on its beauty and technology.

I liked the touch and the vibrant colors of the phone.  With no second thoughts,  the first look of the Zenphone is cool. It has won the Reddot design award for 2014 as well. The camera features come at an affordable price range. At the best pricing, Zenphone 5, with an eight megapixel camera will give tough competition to Micromax and Motorola phones.  Asus has planned its entry in the Indian market quite carefully. They have studied our demands as well what competitors are offering at higher prices. They know consumers need stylish phones at affordable prices and a great camera is a great advantage.  Thus, they are offering both. Hope the power support is strong enough too.
