Beachcomber, Mauritius: My Most Luxurious Hotel Stay

Luxury travel blogger, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa

There is a piece of loveliness in the Indian Ocean and it is called Mauritius.

An indulging, pampering and luxurious holiday in Mauritius means a stay in Beachcomber hotels and resorts.I had heard this, read this and can absolutely vouch for it. One of their properties, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa puts you into a beautiful dream right from the word go. It is a gorgeous property with spectacular ocean views.  Till date, I have lovely memories from my stay and  it remains to top the list of my favorite resorts that I have lived in. In fact, the gorgeousness and the hospitality of it grew on me so much that I was pained to depart. I literally did not want to leave the place for its water sports – the kayaks, paddle boarding, skiing, and snorkelling.

Listed among the most-loved island countries of the world, Mauritius boasts of pristine beaches and stunning properties. The island earns a character from its white sandy beaches, palm trees, sugarcane fields, idyllic settings, delicious food, hospitality, spectacular Le Morne and more. The island is not just a luxurious destination for the affluent travelers, a paradise for the newly-wed couples, a haven for explorers but also a treat for photographers.

I am proud of my picture-perfect postcards from Mauritius. The sunrises were healing and the sunsets were to die for.

Mauritius!

The whole of the island is a delightful treat with the hiking trails in Black River Gorges, volcanic remains, gorgeous beaches, small fishing villages, adventure parks and more. Casela World of Adventures is one of the main attractions of the island and is special because it is here where you can have a close brush with lions and giraffe, which suddenly reinstates the fact that you are somewhere in Africa. Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius reflects a beautiful blend of historical past and the contemporary modern influences. If you are a sucker for history, you have to know the fascinating stories of the sugarcane fields, old dilapidated chimney, sugar factories and rum industry of Mauritius.

And for those who only want to relax and enjoy, there are ultra luxurious properties to give you memorable vacations. With the influence of Portuguese, Dutch, French, British, the island is also a treasure trove for culture-tourists. I also loved the fact that a lot of people have an Indian connect. Despite all the development, the island is not spoiled or excessively built up. I must thank Mauritius Tourism for making efforts to save natural and majestic qualities of the island. We have already lost the Dodo bird, we shouldn’t lose anything else.

Dream Holidays Do Exist

Thank to MTPA India, I had a chance to stay in three different resorts on the island. While Westin was prim and proper, Heritage Le Telfair was amazing, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber was definitely the best. This piece of land in Mauritius is absolutely stunning.

So the background is that Beachcomber Hotels were the first hotel company in Mauritius and they have some of the most amazing locations under their umbrella. No doubt, they have made the best of the opportunity and captured the dramatic scenery of the island in the most lavish ways. A gorgeous destination complemented with impeccable hospitality services makes for a dream holiday. Thus the richness and beauty of Mauritius is showcased and presented by its attractive hotels, guesthouses, private villas and apartments.

In Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, these are some of the things that you really really can’t miss doing. I am a sucker for luxury and I felt pampered here. The cottage and villas are amazing. I had a lavish room with a small private pool that opened to the beach and the washroom stood like a second room. The services were impeccable and the amenities were pampering. Some of my favorite must-do were….

1. The Sunsets are adorable. You should not miss them. I had a beach front room and I would just not budge to do anything during the evening but watch the ball of fire.

2.Book your spa and other treatments. Spa by Clarins is amazing. You need to check for the rates. If you need a currency converter, it’s also available at the resort itself.

3. One must dine in any one of their six restaurants. I visited the Thai one and the food was superb.

4. There are plenty of water sports – the kayaks, paddle boarding, skiing, and snorkelling to do on the private beach.

5. Checking out the yoga classes, wellness center, salon, tennis court, golf and teen clubs!

  1. Mauritius looks like a beautiful dream indeed! That sunset is a true reflection of paradise. Personally, I wouldn’t leave that bed by the pool very often:)

  2. Now this really does look like an exercise in luxury! Certainly, that bath looks like somewhere you could lie and soak for hours while that sunset is just incredible. Mauritius is an undoubtedly beautiful spot and this looks to be an ideal spot from which to plan your vacation

  3. Mauritius is one of my favourite countries! I’ve been 3 times and each stay was magical! It really is true paradise. Beachcomber looks very luxurious, and that bath tub is amazing. I’m sure I’ll be making it my 4th trip in the not too distant future, so will definitely consider this hotel! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  4. The sunsets over the beach in Mauritius is absolutely stunning, and I agree that a beautiful destination and wonderful hotel service do make a dream holiday. Mauritius is really a nice and untamed spot to travel too. If I go, I would also love to stay at the Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and pamper myself for days.

  5. Wow, didn’t know Mauritius can be so fun. I once had a uni mate who’s from Mauritius. But never had the chance to visit. Perhaps soon I will!

  6. Like many, I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting Mauritius but that is something I definitely intend to change! As a keen beach-goer and hiker, this looks to be a true paradise. The hotel you chose just looks so lovely and the accommodation is just grand indeed. What a great place to be based from to enjoy a fabulous island holiday,

  7. Your snapshots, especially from the Sunset and the Spa are absolutely beautiful. I heard already that Mauritius is just magnificent, but it seems to be truly a paradise. Also your accommodation looks perfect, a place where the soul can rest and you forget about all the worries in the world, thats my impression.
A bit of hiking, fishing, swimming in the sea -what more could one need to have just a perfect time in such an area.
